The Remnant Church is a Christian congregation that has been serving communities in Bergen County, NJ for over 35 years. From our home group meetings, to our yearly conferences, to our homeless food distribution on the street, we pride ourselves in making a difference wherever we go. We are a God centered church that makes a difference through the power of Jesus Christ. We believe in the transformation of people through prayer, deliverance, counseling, and discipleship. We are known for our Spirit filled services that empower believers to fulfill their God given purpose.
We are a church who prays fervently. We don’t use prayer as a tool; we use it as a lifestyle. Our worship is not just a weapon; it is a way of life. Our obedience to God is unconditional. We believe in the power of discipleship through the sound teaching of scripture. We want families to heal and lives to be changed.
We have shown our community what true love is and we have taught them that God heals, restores, and transforms. We make this possible by having active services throughout the week that serve different purposes, such as prayer nights, discipleship school, and youth services. We offer counseling that targets different societal needs such as premarital counseling, marital counseling, parenting counseling, youth counseling, amongst others. We have also donecommunity plays, outdoor fairs, children bible camps, music lessons, dance classes, retreats, and many other activities to provide people with a safe and faith-filled environment where the whole family can enjoy.

MISSION
Our mission is to raise a Remnant of believers who encounter God and are transformed through the power of prayer, fasting, worship, and the revelation of God’s Word. Every believer will be affirmed through a House of Love (cell group), be empowered through a Power House (discipleship), and grow in their purpose as they serve in the house of the Lord.
OUR PASTOR
Catalina Araujo was born on April 3, 1964 in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She grew up in a small poverty stricken community, where she always demonstrated leadership skills from an early age. She had a supernatural encounter with Jesus at the age of 16. Her grandmother was her Spiritual Mother and role model. She immigrated to the United States in 19 , where she got married and had five beautiful children: Yveanette, Deborah, Jael, Obed and Pablo.
Even through many years of trials and tribulations, including the death of her fourth child and the hardships of her marriage, she overcame all odds and succeeded in fulfilling God’s purpose in her life. She studied law in Ecuador, theology at the Biblical Institute in Paterson, NJ and Psychology in Paramus, NJ. In 1990, she founded with her husband at the time, Roberto Soto the Ebenezer Evangelistic Missions Church, a ministry that for over 30 years has reached thousands of people and was renamed as “The Remnant Church” in 2018.
Catalina’s remarkable leadership skills and bravery have given her access to an immense impact in the community. She is known for phrases such as, “I do not feel like giving up” and “We are going for more.” Her dreams are limitless and her heart is focused on serving the needy, praying for the nations and restoring the world's children. Her Apostolic and Prophetic callings are irrefutable. Apostle Catalina Araujo continues her legacy of transforming lives wherever she goes. Hundreds of spiritual sons and daughters are the pleasing fruit that she produces for the Lord. Mother, counselor, teacher, administrator, and unstoppable warrior are some of the adjectives that describe her and are now the DNA of her congregation The Remnant Church.
